It is generally accepted that the programming field is friendly to fans of the exact sciences, to those who were interested in mathematics and physics at school, but it is better for humanities students not to start. In fact, if in your youth, and even now, you preferred, say, drawing or literature, this does not mean that the entrance to IT is closed to you.

We will tell you how multifaceted and interesting the IT field is, how diverse its areas are and where and how you can apply your skills, even without being a "techie".

"You were always good at languages!"

Many have stories about a former classmate who was a bad student, who later became a successful businessman, or about a quiet girl who became a model. What does this tell us? It's very simple: if you really want it, you can fly into space!

You should not label yourself or trust stereotypes. As life shows, and even scientific research, constant practice bears fruit and you can learn any business if you put in enough effort. Don't rush to social media marketing service conclusions if you were more interested in history than physics at school. Believe me, it doesn't mean anything.

You should also take into account the fact that in their youth, people encounter a huge number of completely different areas and, for obvious reasons, there may simply not be enough resources for everything. Therefore, let us repeat once again: do not evaluate your abilities and capabilities only by the fact that you have devoted most of your life to industries far removed from programming.

Moreover, at present, there are a huge number of resources that allow you to master the area of interest to you. Of course, no one says that it is always easy, but difficult does not mean impossible.

Not an A in math? No problem, we accept that!

Well, math in high school left a trauma on many of us, when in addition to the usual numbers, letters also appeared in the examples. Apparently, this association has become so firmly ingrained in everyone's brain that cold sweat appears in humanities students at the sight of code.

If the situation is familiar, we hasten to please you: mathematics, in fact, is not the most important thing in programming. To be convinced of this, it is enough to comb through several forums or watch interviews with already working programmers. Often, millions of developers are quite far from mathematics in their daily work. But what is really important is logic, analytical skills, creativity and, attention, the ability to learn languages.

It's not for nothing that programming languages are called languages, right? They also have their own rules, vocabulary and grammar, having studied which, you can safely use the languages. Well, and to use them effectively, you need to develop your analytical thinking. Coding is a continuous puzzle that tests the logic of programmers for strength, so rules alone will not do. Each task is special, and to solve it, you will need a combination of many skills: from logic to creativity and perseverance.

Is it possible to do without codes somehow..?

The IT sphere can boast a wide range of opportunities, fortunately, some are not related to coding. Each of the areas requires certain skills, their harmony and even different ratios of certain skills. Depending on your interests and abilities, creative work with interface designs may suit you, and, for example, leadership qualities will help you advance as a project manager.

But first things first.

UX/UI designer

Let's dispel another stereotype right away: it is not necessary to graduate from art school. Web design is a profession for people who can understand what users need, and this is more about sociology than about creativity and creativity (but do not worry, they exist in this area too).

UX and UI are user experience and user interface, and although the directions are different, they are closely related. Web designers create clear and visually attractive interfaces for websites, applications and programs. You do not need to code for this, but to do the job you need to learn how to use various tools that allow you to create prototypes for clients, and then layouts for frontend developers.

We all know that they meet by clothes, so it turns out that users form their first opinion of a site by looking at its appearance. And this huge responsibility falls on the shoulders of designers. For this reason, in this profession it is very important to understand the needs of the target audience, as well as an understanding of what is beautiful and convenient, and what is not so much. Business Analyst Although you won’t have to program, this profession requires working with large amounts of information and good analytical skills. Business analysts in the IT field are the link between the development team and the client. In this position, it is simply necessary to know the market perfectly, be able to identify possible problems and, taking into account the existing factors, offer solutions that will satisfy the customer’s needs. In the process of working on a project, both developers and clients may have questions, and regulating these relationships so that everyone is happy with the results is the business analyst’s job. It can be concluded that in addition to strategic analysis, planning and drawing up technical specifications, communication skills play an equally important role here. Project Manager Project Manager (PM) is not a technical position, but it nevertheless requires an understanding of many processes in the work of developers, but don’t be afraid right away.PM is engaged in project management, one can say he or she supervises the work of specialists, deftly operating knowledge of current technologies and project management techniques in order to competently plan and monitor the process of creating a new product.Managers have a huge responsibility, because they have to take into account a huge number of details, and they themselves will have to skillfully combine management skills with organizational skills, while not forgetting about communication skills and leadership qualities. For many people, this is still easier than coding, so if you are one of them, go ahead! Recruiter At the long-awaited interview for the profession of your dreams, you meet with a recruiter, or you can become one yourself. What do you need for this?

This position involves selecting competent personnel through interviews and evaluation of the applicant's resume and skills. The recruiter constantly communicates with people both in the company and with those wishing to become employees of the hiring company. In order to hire the right person, it is necessary to have a good understanding of the business itself, be able to correctly determine the needs of the hiring manager and know how to conduct interviews so as not to make a mistake about this or that candidate.

For obvious reasons, communication skills play a key role here, and this applies to both professional connections and communication with applicants with whom it is necessary to find a common language. "With great power comes great responsibility." This is definitely about recruiters, because sometimes the fate of the entire project may depend on the right person! Stress resistance would definitely not be superfluous.
